The Quest Lecture Series
The Quest Lecture Series at CSGS aims to significantly enrich the educational journey of our students while stimulating their intellectual curiosity. To achieve this, we regularly invite an impressive array of eminent guest speakers from the realms of academia and various industries. These experts come to our school to deliver insightful lectures, generously sharing their vast knowledge and rich experiences with our student body. This program is crafted to complement and elevate the learning experience of our students, offering them fresh and diverse perspectives that go beyond the standard curriculum they encounter in their regular classes.
Typically, these lectures provide our students with unique viewpoints and insights into the subjects they study, highlighting the real-world applications and potential career pathways that their academic pursuits can lead to. Our distinguished guests, many Sedcopians, often showcase how the subjects, skills and values taught in school can be applied in various professional contexts, introducing innovative ideas and exemplifying the practical use of academic knowledge. More importantly, these sessions are a source of inspiration for our students, presenting them with the opportunity to envisage themselves following in the successful footsteps of the speakers they have the privilege to listen to directly.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the remarkable individuals who have graciously dedicated their time and effort to engage with our students and share their expertise.
For those interested, further information about our esteemed guests and the enlightening lectures they have delivered can be found below. Our overarching mission is to nurture our students into becoming profound thinkers, adept at critical inquiry and willing to take intellectual risks. We strongly encourage our students to explore subjects beyond their routine studies, as this not only broadens their knowledge base but also enhances their critical reasoning abilities, equipping them with skills that are invaluable in their academic and future professional endeavours.
We would like to thank everyone who has given up their time to deliver one of these talks to our students. If you know of anyone who may be willing to give up their time to deliver a talk then please email Miss Ballard: anball@csgrammar.com
