There are two types of Bursary Fund which are allocated based on students meeting the eligibility criteria. The government sets out specific criteria for the Vulnerable Bursary which entitles students to the funding, whilst the eligibility criteria for the Discretionary Bursary is determined by the academy.
Year 13 students who qualified for a bursary in Year 12 will need to sign a ‘Household Declaration Form’ to confirm that their household circumstances have not changed. This will be emailed directly to the relevant students. The form needs to be returned to finance@csgrammar.com in order to receive a bursary in Year 13.
Sixth Form students who qualified for free school meals from April 2018 onwards are entitled to free school meals until the end of their studies in sixth form. Please check eligibility by using the online FSM checker.
If Sixth Form students are eligible for free school meals and think they meet the criteria for a bursary, please apply in the same way as all other Sixth Form students.
Further information on the Discretionary Bursary Fund and the Vulnerable Bursary Fund for 16-19 year olds is available below.
Please read the statement and policy below carefully before completing an application form and ensure the correct type of bursary is being selected.
